發炎體參與很多發炎過程以及疾病上,而活化發言體的路徑有很多,但都需要有發炎的過程,然而內在因子調節發炎體的機制到現在還不是很清楚,所以作者發現了多巴安可以去抑制NLRP3發炎體的活化,透過dopamine D1 receptor (DRD1)的訊息路徑來傳遞而dopamine D1 receptor (DRD1)是利用第二訊息傳遞子cyclic adenosine
monophosphate (cAMP)透過他去結合NLRP3發炎體來啟動泛素化再透過E3 ubiquitin ligase MARCH7來分解,而重要的是DA和DRD1訊息路徑來避免NLRP3發炎體依賴的發炎,而這個機制也可以用在NLRP3相關疾病的發炎反應中來做到治療的效果。
